Balance

Balanced is a research-led project exploring steam bending wood to highlight the loss of mature trees in local communities and the degradation of nature in the UK.

The community developed designs to symbolise a collective response to the loss of a mature tree through felling or falling. Using the steam bent timber to symbolise the meaning, feeling and perception of loss.
